Hello,
As we step into March, we enter a month of transition, both in the natural world and the astrological one. The Equinox on the 20th brings a moment of balance, day and night standing as equals, before the scales tip and the seasons shift. In the Northern Hemisphere, this marks the beginning of spring, a time of renewal, fresh energy, and new possibilities. For those in the Southern Hemisphere, it’s the arrival of autumn, a period of reflection and release. Wherever you are in the world, the Equinox is a threshold, a reminder that change is not only inevitable but essential.
And this year, March brings an even more profound transformation. On the 30th, Neptune leaves Pisces, its home sign for the past 14 years, and enters Aries. This is a major astrological shift, Neptune in Pisces has been a time of heightened spirituality, dreams, and dissolving boundaries. But as it moves into fiery, action-oriented Aries, our collective vision takes on a different tone. This is the start of a new era, one that invites us to bring our dreams into reality, to lead with courage, and to redefine what spirituality means in an individual, self-directed way.
Ask: Where am I ready for change? What do I need to release as one cycle ends, and what do I want to ignite as another begins?
Brightest,
David x

Holding Steady on Shifting Sands
Change is inevitable. The world moves, the tides turn, and life rarely stays still for long. Sometimes, we welcome these shifts, new opportunities, fresh beginnings, a sense of momentum. Other times, change feels unsettling, like standing on shifting sands, unsure what our next step is.
In these moments, steadiness isn’t about resisting change; it’s about finding our own centre within it. Imagine the still point in a turning wheel, the eye of a storm, the deep roots of a tree bending with the wind but never uprooted. This is where true stability lies, not in controlling what happens around us, but in knowing who we are within it.
The Equinox reminds us that balance is always possible, even in transition. Neptune’s shift into Aries signals a new era, asking us to trust our inner compass as the landscape changes. As the sands shift, take a breath. Ground yourself in what truly matters. You are steadier than you think.

Planetary Movements
March is a month of profound change, bringing two retrogrades, a potent lunar eclipse, and a major planetary shift as Neptune moves into Aries for the first time since 1861. With Aries energy dominating, expect themes of initiation, courage, and identity to take centre stage.
March 2nd – Venus Retrograde in Aries
Venus, the planet of love, values, and relationships, stations retrograde in Aries, stirring up themes of independence, self-worth, and desire. This retrograde period invites reflection on personal identity within relationships. Are you asserting your needs? Are you compromising too much? Expect old relationship patterns to resurface for resolution. Financially, it’s wise to reassess spending and investments rather than initiating major financial commitments.
March 3rd – Mercury Enters Aries
As Mercury, the planet of communication, moves into fiery Aries, words become direct, impulsive, and action oriented. This energy supports bold conversations, quick decisions, and assertive self-expression. However, with Mercury set to retrograde later in the month, avoid rushing into agreements or major commitments too quickly.
March 14th – Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Virgo
Eclipses bring significant turning points, and this lunar eclipse in Virgo shines a spotlight on organisation, health, and daily routines. Virgo’s meticulous energy urges a reassessment of habits, work-life balance, and practical matters. What needs clearing? What details require attention? Emotionally, this eclipse could highlight imbalances between control and surrender, asking us to refine our approach to responsibilities without falling into perfectionism.
March 15th – Mercury Retrograde in Aries
Just days after the eclipse, Mercury stations retrograde in Aries, slowing down the fiery momentum and pushing for introspection. Miscommunications, tech mishaps, and delays are likely, especially in areas requiring quick action. This retrograde offers an opportunity to revisit ideas, refine goals, and reconsider impulsive decisions. Patience and flexibility will be key, particularly in personal and professional negotiations.
March 20th – Equinox: Sun Enters Aries
The Equinox marks the astrological new year as the Sun moves into Aries, igniting themes of renewal, action, and self-discovery. Aries season is a time to take initiative, embrace new beginnings, and harness courage to pursue personal desires. With Mercury retrograde and Venus still in reflection mode, this Equinox encourages a balance between action and thoughtful reassessment.
March 27th – Venus Retrogrades into Pisces
As Venus moves back into Pisces, its energy softens, bringing a more introspective and emotional tone to relationships and values. Romantic ideals, past connections, and creative inspirations may resurface. This is a time to deepen spiritual connections and reassess emotional needs in partnerships. It’s also a period for surrender and forgiveness, letting go of unrealistic expectations and embracing unconditional love.
March 29th – New Moon in Aries
This bold New Moon marks a fresh start, especially around personal retrograde, it’s wise to focus on internal clarity before making major moves. Use this lunation for personal empowerment and refining your goals before external action.
March 30th – Neptune Enters Aries
Neptune moves into Aries for the first time since 1861, shifting collective ideals towards personal vision and pioneering spirit. This marks the beginning of a long cycle where spiritual awakening, imagination, and collective dreams take on a more assertive, action-driven form. Expect themes of activism, inspired leadership, and bold creativity to emerge in the coming years. This transit encourages a fusion of spirituality and courage, challenging us to embody our dreams with fearless authenticity.

Equinox Ritual – Finding Balance in Change
This ritual is designed to help you find steadiness within change, embracing both the known and the unknown with trust.
You Will Need:
• A candle (white or gold for balance)
• A small bowl of water (intuition, reflection)
• A small stone or crystal (grounding, stability)
• A piece of paper and a pen
The Ritual:
1. Create Your Space
Find a quiet place where you won’t be disturbed. Set your items before you, symbolising the elements—fire (candle), water (bowl), earth (stone), and air (your breath, thoughts).
2. Light the Candle
As you do, take three deep breaths. Say aloud:
“I stand in balance, embracing light and dark, past and future, knowing I am exactly where I need to be.”
3. Reflect on the Past Six Months
Hold the stone in your hand. Think about what has changed since the last Equinox. What have you learned? What have you released? What are you still holding onto?
Journal Prompt: What lessons have I gathered in the past six months that I now carry forward?
4. Embrace the Present
Dip your fingers into the bowl of water and press them to your forehead, heart, and hands. Feel the moment—right now—as a bridge between past and future.
Journal Prompt: Where in my life do I feel balanced? Where do I feel unsteady?
5. Set Intentions for the Months Ahead
Write down one thing you wish to cultivate as you move forward—something that will help you hold steady on shifting sands. Place the paper beneath the stone, anchoring your intention.
Journal Prompt: What energy do I want to carry into the next six months?
6. Close the Ritual
Hold the stone in your hands once more and say:
“I honour the turning of the wheel, the balance of all things. I trust my path, knowing I am both grounded and free.”
Blow out the candle, leaving your paper and stone somewhere meaningful as a reminder of your intention.

Card Reveal
The beautiful artwork is by Roberta Orpwood, Soulbirdart, from the Tree of Life Oracle, published by Hay House. Written by David Wells.
Card One: The Sephira Daath – Pluto
Daath is the doorway between worlds, the threshold where knowledge becomes wisdom. It is not a Sephira in the traditional sense but rather an experience, an initiation into deeper understanding. When Daath appears, you may find yourself standing at the edge of the unknown, where certainty dissolves, and only trust remains. This is a moment of profound transformation, where past limitations can be released if you surrender to the unfolding mystery. The challenge is to let go of the need for control and embrace the wisdom that emerges in the space between. What truth is waiting to reveal itself when you stop searching and simply allow?
Card Two: The 21st Path – Wheel of Fortune – Jupiter
Life is always turning, shifting, and evolving. The Wheel of Fortune on the 21st Path teaches that change is inevitable, but how we meet it defines our experience. This path is reminding you that the cycles of fate are not random, they are infused with divine order, even when they feel chaotic. Are you clinging to the past or resisting movement? This card invites you to align with the rhythm of life, trusting that each turn of the wheel carries you forward. Be open to unexpected opportunities, for what seems like chance may, in truth, be a destined moment.
Card Three: The 29th Path – The Moon – Pisces
The 29th Path, is the path of the subconscious, intuition, and illusion. The Moon guides you through uncertainty, asking you to trust what you feel rather than what you see. Not all is as it appears, and this card suggests a time of deep inner work, where fears and dreams intertwine. You are being called to navigate the hidden currents of your psyche, to embrace your intuition without falling into illusion. If confusion arises, step back and let clarity come in its own time. The truth will reveal itself, not through force, but through patience and trust.
